Ann’s Backyard Forest, Ltd (ABF) embraces hands-on learning for graduate- and post-doctoral level innovative research. Nature-based solutions to climate change and other environmental degradation are in their infancy. We seek to generate and test novel ideas, publish results, and inform implementation based on grant-funded research in urban forested areas along the east coast from DC to Maine.

 

Examples might include testing selection of tree species for reforestation, using technology (i.e., GIS, eDNA) to understand landscape complexities and response, or measuring wildlife response associated with small alterations in use.
