Monarchs
Royalty in the Garden
Occasionally the absence of an animal is worth questioning. Could the animal be due to fewer animals or the animals could just be in another location. This summer in Maryland the monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) was noticeably absent from the areas were and at times when monarchs are usually found. Are there fewer or are they temporarily somewhere else?
